The Lincoln Park Zoo Offers Free Admission 365 Days a Year

July 11, 2018

When you’re looking for a fun date night or family outing, the Lincoln Park Zoo is always a popular (and affordable) option. It’s open 365 days a year, with later hours in the summer, and admission is always free. So it’s no wonder why the Lincoln Park Zoo has become a Chicago institution with more than 1,000 reviews on Yelp.

The zoo boasts a large roster of residents ranging from chimpanzees to polar bears, and it’s always welcoming new critters to the fold. Head to the zoo “rainforest” to see the new white-blotched river stingray, an aptly named water dweller with a base of jet black and white polka dots speckled across his body. The Regenstein African Journey recently gained a new two-year-old giraffe named Finely who’s ready and waiting to meet you, and the Farm-in-the-Zoo just welcomed eight American guinea hogs. Come and see the piglets while they’re still pint-sized.
