Plan This Weekend’s Brunch at Monnie Burke’s

September 25, 2018

The next time you’re headed to the west side, check out Monnie Burke’s in the Pilsen neighborhood. This restaurant, bar, and patio space is fairly new, and it’s already a welcome addition to the businesses along 18th Street.

Their menu is thoughtful and creative, and features plenty of sharable plates and mouth-watering entrees like steak frites, braised pork shank, and more. They also put just as much care and attention into their drink offering, with fresh ingredients like smoked black tea in the old fashioned or their homemade ginger beer. Monnie Burke’s also has local draft beer and a great wine selection, which make sitting a while on their patio all the more enjoyable. Stop in late just for drinks or dessert, as decadent options like caramel budino pudding with candied hazelnut brittle are well worth the trip alone.

Monnie Burke’s also does a Sunday brunch with plenty of sweet or savory breakfast options, and the cocktails that make any boozy brunch complete. Make reservations for brunch or dinner via their site, especially if you want to take advantage of their patio space as summer comes to an end.
