Summer Events in Chicago

June 6, 2023

Summer is finally here in Chicago, and that means plenty of incredible events are in store. From music and food festivals to parades and more, the Windy City offers something for everyone this June, all within reach of 465 North Park. Get excited; it’s time to mark your calendars!

June is packed with various music festivals, such as the Grant Park Music Festival happening at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. Celebrating its 88th year, this renowned classical music festival presents free concerts featuring the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus. Taking place in the famous Millennium Park, this festival is the perfect opportunity to experience classical music outdoors in a beloved Chicago landmark.

If classical music isn’t your thing, check out the Chicago Blues Festival for a day of rhythm and soul. As the largest free blues festival in the world, this event pays homage to the genre’s roots and its influence on contemporary music. Featuring both renowned artists and emerging talent, this festival is a great showcase of the Chicago blues scene.

June is also a time for celebrating equality at the Chicago Pride Parade. Starting in the Boystown neighborhood, this Pride Month celebration is dedicated to spreading love, acceptance, and support for the LGBTQ+ community. Known for an abundance of colors and costumes, don your own shades of the rainbow and join in the Pride festivities!

Calling all foodies: you can’t miss the Taste of Randolph Street festival, located in the trendy West Loop neighborhood. This food-centric event showcases the vibrant culinary scene of Chicago, where participants can sample delicious eats and cocktails from local restaurants. If you’re more interested in all the craft beer Chicago has to offer, grab tickets to the Chicago Craft Beer Festival, set in the charming neighborhood of Lincoln Park. This festival brings together an impressive selection of local and regional breweries, ranging from IPAs to rich stouts.

Whether you’re a Cubs or a White Sox fan, don’t forget to catch a few baseball games this summer! Enjoy the ideal sunny afternoon in the city with either one of Chicago’s MLB teams; you can’t have a bad time when you’re watching your favorite team in the ballpark.

June is a wonderful time to be in Chicago, as there’s no shortage of fun to be had at all the various events and festivals. We hope you have an amazing start to your summer and take advantage of everything the Windy City has to offer!
